  1. Due to my own limitations, a little more than five concepts are needed for me to map out book one. I’ll try. 1) Title: samadhi. Absorption as goal, through nirodha. Implicitly the purusa or Cit contrasted with citta and vrittis. 2) nature of practice a) to reduce vrittis and b) how Contemplative practice is essential for eliminating obscurations produced by conditioning of limited self, asmita , i.e. by samskara 3) Isvara and practice of OM as ideal Contemplative objects & together they work as a remedy for the antaraya or obstacles to Contemplative states 4) increasing stability and calm of citta leading to diamond like clarity and limitless knowledge of object — samadhi. 5) the nirodha or stillness of 1.2 becomes nirbija seedless unconditioned Contemplative state. Very unclear whether we have reached buddhi stage here. But my guess is yes, that’s what is being described in terms of Book I Samkhya philosophic orientation.
